Power Quality

Power Quality is defined as a power, voltage and current with a pure sinusoidal shape of 50Hz or 60Hz frequency and free from dip, swell, sag, flicker and harmonic distortion.

Power Quality is the most important issue with the use of modern electrical equipment. Usage of non-linear loads has increased from the last decade, which is the major source for the power quality problems.

In such an atmosphere, problems like power surges/sags, low and high voltage and frequency deviation, harmonic distortion, transient switching and the Electro Magnetic Interference/Electro Magnetic Compatibility effect are frequently faced. This leads to destruction of capital equipment’s, security alarms, damage of trustworthiness and above all a vast economic destruction.
